Weather Authority Forecast Summary

Weekend warmup!

High pressure builds through the weekend with a warm-up inland. Coastal areas will likely see a bit more sunshine.

Overnight: Low clouds fill into the coast and valleys with some drizzle possible. Expect lows in the lupper 40s to mid 50s.

Saturday: Morning low clouds give way to a more afternoon sun at the coast. Expect nothing but sunshine for inland locations. And as high pressure builds in temperatures rise with 70s to 80s inland. Onshore flow keeps the coast in the upper 60s to low 70s. Breezy into the afternoon.

Sunday: Morning clouds with afternoon sun. Breezy at times. Inland locations warm into the 80s, at the coast we'll see 60s to near 70 degrees with onshore flow keeping things stagnant.

Extended: By Memorial Day, we can some expect some 90s in the valleys. Coastal areas will remain seasonable with onshore flow keeping at least a few low clouds in the forecast. Still, it should be a bit more sunny than earlier in the week. Marine layer should re-establish itself by next week.

The outlook from the Climate Prediction Center for June 3rd - June 9th calls for the likelihood of above normal temperatures and below normal precipitation.

El Niño/La Niña STATUS: Neutral
Forecast: Weak El Niño is expected to develop by the summer.
