$25,000 worth of heroin seized in King City SWAT operation

SWAT team detains man in Salinas

SALINAS, Calif. - $25,000 worth of heroin was seized during a SWAT operation in south Monterey County early Tuesday morning. 

According to Salinas Police, the Violence Suppression Unit, SWAT, state parole, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and CHP served a two-location search warrant in King City.

One home was located in the 300 block of Bassett Street and the second was in the 1000 block of Bluff Avenue. 

"A total of two pounds of Heroin, one stolen Mossberg .22 caliber (AR-15 style) and a small amount of methamphetamine was located," said SPD. 

34-year-old Antonio Duran, 29-year-old Yesenia Mosqueda, Juan Pablo Armenta Rodriguez, and 19-year-old Maria Martinez were taken into custody.

One of the suspects was cited and released and the other three were lodged in the Monterey County Jail.
