2.8 quake strikes near Gilroy

MORGAN HILL, Calif. - A magnitude 2.8 earthquake is the latest in a string of small tremors along the Central Coast. 

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake was reported just after 10 a.m. Thursday and it's epicenter was seven miles east of Morgan Hill and eight miles north of Gilroy. 

A magnitude 3.2 earthquake was reported Wednesday 1 mile from San Juan Bautista, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. USGS officials said the epicenter was less than ten miles from Hollister and 11 miles from Salinas.
