WATSONVILLE, Calif. - Watsonville Police arrested a man for a string of armed robberies in the downtown area.
According to police, there have been more than 10 armed robberies reported in the last month.
The majority of the victims said the suspect had a knife and threatened them with it while demanding money.
On Thursday, November 9th, police were doing surveillance on the suspect’s home and then arrested the suspect after a “high risk” traffic stop. The suspect has been identified as Cipriano Vasquez Cruz. During a search of Cruz’s home and car, officers found evidence linking him to the robberies.
