MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. - On Wednesday, a bird flew into a powerline which sparked a vegetation fire near the intersection of Lonoak Road and Highway 25.
Cal Fire received a call for a fire, east of King City. When firefighters arrived the fire was approximately 2-3 acres in size. Crews contained the blaze to 17 acres within 40 minutes. No injuries were reported from the fire.
