MONTEREY, Calif. - Four people were arrested after an attempted car jacking early Tuesday morning.
Monterey County Sheriffs officials say they were called to a carjacking involving a suspect with a firearm in the area of York Road and Blue Larkspur Lane in Monterey. When they arrived, the two suspects fled from arriving Deputy Sheriff's.
An investigation led Detectives to 10121 Blue Larkspur Lane where the possible suspects were located and found to be on searchable probation or parole.
25-year-old John Dakota Farrald of Carmel and 21-year-old Salvatore Ciolino of Monterey were determined to be inside the house and the suspects from the carjacking.
19-year-old Mackenzie Sampagnaro was found to have an arrest warrant and on searchable probation. Bridgette Sampagnaro, 24 was on probation and in possession of drug paraphernalia.
During the search, a loaded M1 Carbine, and a 30 caliber rifle with a box of bullets were located and seized. The first two subjects were arrested for carjacking, pursuit and illegal firearm possession.
All were booked for probation violations at the Monterey County Jail. John Farrald is pictured..
