Llamas and cows on the loose in Santa Cruz County keep police busy

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, Calif. - The past few days have been a bit of a circus for the Santa Cruz Police Department and Scotts Valley Police Department.

Sunday Santa Cruz Police had to wrangle up a couple of llamas on the loose near Golf Club Drive. The animals escaped from a nearby far, but were eventually caught and returned to their owner.

And on Monday morning, Scotts Valley Police received multiple 911 calls regarding two large cows blocking traffic at Mount Hermon Road near Heavenly Cafe. According to officials, "officers responded to the scene and 'moooved' them along."

Both incidents caused quite the stir on social media, as both departments shared their funny encounters.
