The Monterey Pre-Reunion will take place on Aug. 12 and 13 at Laguna Seca Race Track. The Pre-Reunion precedes the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion and gives car enthusiasts the opportunity to observe teams working on over 300 race cars that will be competing in the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion, which will be held between the 17 and the 20.
"[The Pre-Reunion] is the annual celebration of all-things-automobile, with a showcase of vintage race cars with historical significance taking to the iconic road course," said Brad Littlefield, Public Relations Manager at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. "It is a more relaxed showcase for fans to enjoy before the largely attended Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion the following week."
The Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion is a race where approximately 550 cars compete for the gold .
"You don't see golfers using wooden clubs or football players donning leather helmets, but you can see drivers wheeling race cars from different eras on the track as they were intended," said Littlefield.
Work on the cars will take place in the paddock, which will be open to the public. Tickets for paddock entrance at the Pre-Reunion are $30.
