PRUNEDALE, Calif. - The California Highway Patrol is currently investigating a hit-and-run accident involving an officer that occurred Sunday off northbound Highway 101 in Prunedale.
Officers say the incident happened when a officer attempted to pull over a driver in an Acura for an alleged speeding violation near Highway 156. CHP is now on the lookout for the suspect, who is described only as being a Latino male. The vehicle has a partial plate number of 6PA.
The officer complained of pain at the incident, but no word on the officer's condition.
