MONTEREY, Calif. - The Monterey County Fair is getting ready to open its gates Wednesday.
On Tuesday, organizers were busy putting the last-minute touches on the fair at the Monterey County Fairgrounds.
There are 30 rides this year, including three new ones.
The full schedule of events is available online here.
Exhibits, entertainment, and food are expected to bring out people of all ages.
"It is exciting to see people interact with the rides, especially the new rides. We try to change the layout and do things differently so that when they come in they have a different feeling about it," said Corey Cakley, carnival general manager.
Gates open at 3 p.m.
The fair runs through Monday.
