Rental assistance for families affected by the drought

SAN JOSE, Calif. - The Center for Employment Training has received $2.1 million from La Cooperativa Campesina de California, a farmworker services cooperative based in Sacramento, to provide eligible individuals and families with assistance for rent and utilities.

This is part of the California Department of Housing and Community Development's effort to help farmworker and non-farmworker individuals and families impacted by the drought.

Relief funds are available for eligible individuals and families that reside in San Benito, Santa Cruz, and Monterey counties.

Contact CET centers in Salinas, Soledad and Watsonville for information on the application process and have the following documents when applying for relief:
• Picture Identification
• Landlord statement/verification for rental assistance
• Utility bills statement
