Seaside Cash 'N Go robbery suspect arrested

SEASIDE, Calif. - UPDATE 9/8/16: A Monterey man accused of robbing Cash 'N Go in Seaside in August has been arrested, according to the Monterey Peninsula Regional Violence and Narcotics Team.

Investigators said thanks to surveillance pictures and tips from the public, Thomas Scott Maurer, 46, was arrested on Saturday at his home in the 2200 block of North Fremont.

He was taken to the Monterey County Jail and his bail was set at $40,000.

PREVIOUS STORY: Investigators with the Peninsula Regional Violence and Narcotics Team are searching for a man wanted for robbing a check cashier business in Seaside Thursday August 25.

Officers said the suspect pretended to have a gun under his jacket and demanded cash from Cash 'N Go at 1171 Fremont Boulevard around 12:58 p.m.

The man is described as 40 to 50 years old, White, tall and thin build and wearing a grey sweatshirt.
