#PositiveLocalNews Santa Cruz Crowns New Youngest Authors

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - Their names are in print for the very first time in a book filled with their own stories for sale for all to read. It's quite an accomplishment for some young authors in Santa Cruz.

The Bookshop Santa Cruz held its fourth annual Young Writers Contest and is releasing a published book of all of the winning entries. Featuring 17 original works of young writers, ages 6-17, the book showcases the writing and storytelling talent of young people in our community.

The honorees were selected from over 300 entries in a wide range of genres. Finalists were judged by Bookshop Staff and the book was designed and published through Bookshop's own Publishing Services Division.

Honorees received a gift certificate to Bookshop along with a copy of the book. Bookshop Santa Cruz is also donating a copy of the book to the school library of each honoree. Additional copies of the book are available for sale at Bookshop Santa Cruz for $10.95.
