SALINAS, Calif. - A 25-year-old Salinas man is recovering, after being shot in the arm during an armed robbery.
It happened on Wednesday just before midnight at the intersection of East Laurel Drive and Noice Drive.
According to police, the victim was sitting in his car outside of a store when someone attempted to rob him at gunpoint. During the incident, the victim attempted to pull away from the suspect and was shot as he moved.
The suspect, who got away on foot, is described as a Hispanic man between 25 and 30-years-old. He is about 5'8" to 5'10" and was last seen wearing a gray sweater and black pants.
The victim returned to his North Salinas home and was driven to the emergency room by a friend. His injuries are not life-threatening.
