Hit-and-run arrest in Hollister

Motorcycle rider sent to the hospital with major injuries

HOLLISTER, Calif. - A man has been arrested for a hit-and-run crash in Hollister.

According to Hollister Police, at 8 p.m. on Sunday August 7th, officers found an injured motorcycle rider on the roadway. The rider was flown to a Bay Area hospital with major injuries. His condition is unknown.

Officers were told a white a colored Chevrolet pickup truck left the scene after colliding with the motorcycle.

On Monday morning, the suspect's mother called police to report a stolen truck. 23-year-old Gabriel Medina was later arrested for the hit-and-run.
