Three people arrested for attempted murder in King City

KING CITY, Calif. - Three people were arrested in King City over the weekend after a shooting and carjacking.

According to police, the suspects led officers on a short chase on San Antonio Drive late Saturday night. The driver then turned east onto Broadway Street and slowed at the entrance of the Comfort Court Trailer Park. One of the suspects got out of the car and entered the trailer park.

Officers boxed in the car in the back of the property. A 14-year-old and 15-year-old were then arrested, one armed with a loaded semi-automatic pistol. A third juvenile was also taken into custody at a trailer park nearby.

Police discovered the car involved in the chase was stolen in Watsonville on Friday, June 9th.

Police said the suspects are also believed to be connected to a shooting on Sussex Way. An 18-year-old man was shot in front of his home and is in critical condition.

The suspects are facing several charges including attempted murder, shooting at an inhabited dwelling, possession of a firearm by a minor, possession of a concealed loaded firearm in a vehicle, evading arrest, conspiracy, possession of stolen property, and gang enhancements.

The investigation is ongoing.
