Update: Watsonville Police arrest attempted homicide suspects

WATSONVILLE, Calif. - UPDATE: 9/12/2017 5:13 p.m. Two men have been arrested for their connection to an attempted homicide in Watsonville earlier this month.

According to Watsonville Police, 25-year-old Alejandro Martinez Flores and 23-year-old Jacob Hernandez are suspects in a shooting that occurred in the 100 block of Roosevelt on September 2.

The victim was flown to a Bay Area trauma center for life threatening injuries.

Police said the investigation revealed that two armed suspects approached the victim and fired multiple rounds at the victim before they ran away.

Investigators said evidence supported that one of the suspects was Flores who was later arrested on September 3. Further into the investigation Hernandez was found to be the second suspected shooter. Hernandez was arrested on September 11, at his home.

The victim is recovering from his injuries.

Watsonville Police are investigating a shooting that happened last night on the 100 block of Roosevelt St that left a person with life threatening injuries.

Officers arrived to the scene at around 11pm and found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in front of his residence. According to police, the victim was in the dining room with another family member when he was shot multiple times by an unknown suspect from outside of his residence.

A dark sedan was seen leaving the scene shortly after the shots were fired.

The victim was flown to a trauma center due to his life threatening injuries and is currently in stable condition.
