The Anaheim Ducks acquired goaltender Jhonas Enroth from the Toronto Maple Leafs late Tuesday night in exchange for a seventh-round selection in the 2018 draft.
The 28-year-old Enroth became expendable when the Maple Leafs claimed veteran goaltender Curtis McElhinney, 33, off the waiver wire from Columbus earlier in the day Tuesday.
Enroth has a 50-69-16 record with seven shutouts, a 2.84 goals-against average and .909 save percentage in 153 career NHL games with Toronto, Los Angeles, Dallas and Buffalo.
Enroth split this season between the Leafs and Toronto's American Hockey League affiliate, the Marlies. In six games with the Maple Leafs, Enroth was 0-3-1 with a 3.94 GAA. In three games with the Marlies, he posted a 2-1-0 record and 3.03 GAA.
