High pressure will build in for the weekend with much warmer, dryer weather expected. Fire danger will also be on the increase with the potential for offshore winds.

*RED FLAG WARNING*
The National Weather Service in Monterey has issued a Fire Weather Watch for the Diablo Range in Santa Clara County from Saturday morning through Monday morning.

Northeast winds 10 to 20 mph on Saturday will increase Saturday night into Sunday morning with frequent gusts 40 to 50 mph.

Lowering humidity on Saturday to less than 25% with little or no humidity recovery Saturday night. RH values staying steady from 10-20% Sunday into early next week.

Any fires that develop will spread rapidly in the hot, dry and windy weather.

A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible Red Flag Warnings.

Saturday: The warm-up begins! A few coastal clouds possible throughout the day, otherwise sunny. Coastal highs will be in the 70s-80s with 80s-90s inland. Breezy at times.

Overnight: A few low clouds possible, otherwise clear. Lows mostly in the 50s.

Sunday: Hot weather, with loads of sunshine! Coastal highs will be in the 70s to near 90s with 90s-100s inland. Breezy at times.

Overnight: Mostly clear. Lows mostly in the 40s-50s.
 
Extended: Hot, dry conditions continue into the workweek, with offshore winds possible over the ridgetops.
