CENTRAL COAST, Calif. (KION) The Transportation Agency for Monterey County has released a survey, and it is asking for input from Hispanic and Spanish-speaking community members about potential new passenger train service.

TAMC said the survey's results will be the foundation for creating new opportunities and services in the Monterey Bay Area, but also connections to the Bay Area and the Los Angeles Basin.

The agency expects to publish a draft of the study this winter. The survey will be open through Sept. 15.
