NTSB releases docket with reports, documents related to dive boat fire

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (KION) The National Transportation Safety Board has released documents that include interview transcripts, photos and other investigative materials related to a dive boat fire that killed 34 people.

The NTSB has been investigating the fire that broke out on Sept. 2, 2019 on the dive boat Conception off Santa Cruz Island. Several Santa Cruz County residents died as a result of the fire.

The materials released do not include analysis, findings, recommendations or probable cause. That information will be released at a public board meeting set for Oct. 20.
