SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, Calif. (KION) Santa Cruz County officials said they will begin reducing hours at the Recovery Resource Center because visitation has declined.

Starting Monday, the center will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. It will be closed on Sunday, Sept. 20 and Sunday, Sept. 27 and will permanently close Sept. 30. It is based at Kaiser Permanente Arena at 140 Front Street in Santa Cruz.

The center opened on Aug. 29 to help county residents impacted by the CZU Lightning Complex Fires, and the county said thousands of people have been helped.

A Virtual Recovery Resource Center is available 24 hours a day here.
