Update: Five arrested for Greenfield homicide on El Camino Real

GREENFIELD, Calif. - UPDATE 1/24/19 3 p.m.:  A Greenfield man died Sunday, Jan. 13 after he was shot while washing a car.

Just after 3 p.m., Greenfield police found Charles Adolfo Jose, 19, lying unresponsive on the sidewalk outside a home in the 200 block of 7th Street. He had been shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators with the Major Crimes Unit describe the suspected shooter as a Hispanic male adult, approximately 5’06 to 6’00, with a medium build. He was reportedly wearing a charcoal-colored hoodie, black pants and white shoes.

On Jan.14 investigators served search warrants in the 100 block of River Drive in King City.

18-year-old Eduardo Anaya Solis, 21-year-old Luis Armando Sarabia, 22-year-old Jose Armando Juarez, and two minors were taken into custody on various charges on Jan. 24. 

The Major Crimes Investigations Unit will held a news conference Thursday afternoon where further information on the homicide was released. 



ORIGINAL POST: Greenfield Police officers responded to a shooting victim just after 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon. The Department says this happened at approximately 3:11 p.m. on the 200 block of 7th Street. 

The scene is now being handled by the Major Crimes Unit.
